So Rutherford obviously didn't like those with legit reasons bringing them up
Rutherford died in 1942. This piece of work was cooked up under the direction of Franz/Knorr.
my sister and i were just talking about this very topic this morning.
when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower society as the faithful and discreet slave in 1918, no one got disfellowshiped for anything!
how is it that now, in 2012, our disfellowshipping policy is used as proof that they are god's earthly visable organisation, in that they "keep the congregation clean?".

theres a story in the ny daily news today that says this jw is homeless and was denied shelter after having a brief conversation with the woman who helped him with his application after he mentioned he was a jw.
her reasoning of why she denied his application was that she thought he would go door to door in the 45-unit facility!
i myself find that hilarious, he just mightve done that to get his time in!
Living a Christ-like life. - Right on, brother: “I just want to hurt them the way they hurt me,” he said.
Romans 12:17 - Return evil for evil to no one.
there has been some interest recently about the moyle case, and how it may have set a precident in what became the society's disfellowshipping policy.
in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.
he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.
Leolaia >> Can Lady Lee or someone remove the two posts by bats in the belfry.
Leolaia, I am very sorry - mea culpa.
I started reading with the last page of that post (page 2 at the time). Seeing it to be some write-up of a September 1939 issue about Moyle, I added the October issue.
On a forum like this it's best to sputter out a timeline completed and implemented in one post. Nevertheless, now seeing what you tired to do I apologize and second that motion to remove the two posts of mine.
why was there no official arrangement before 1952 to disfellowship people?
was there a different procedure with a different name?
was no one committing disfellowshipping offenses?
From the February 1, 1919 The Watch Tower
SATAN’S SNARES AND DELUSIONS - “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler.”—Psalm 91:3.
as part of family worship last night, i pulled out the bound volumes i have been harvesting from different sources lately and showed my spouse the following quote:.
awake!1969 may 22 p.15 .
"if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.
Of course the Awake! 1969 quote is outdated light.
Current light is presented in the 2011 The Watchtower, July 15, issue.
okay, this might sound like a really stupid question, but after researching this matter for the last hour, i still have no idea why the watchtower society points to 1914 and 1919 using the 70 weeks theory.. don't get me wrong, i know all about 607 b.c.e., but i am having trouble understanding why the prophecy of the 70 weeks has been added.
whose idea was it to add the 70 week business into the mix?.
i've researched the following websites and jwn threads so far, yet i'm still hitting blanks:.
We don't - at least the Russellites during their time didn't make the connection. Their truth was current as well, as can be seen from the below excerpted The Watchtower 1915, August 1, issue.
JFR did that connection, e.g. in Light I (1930).
well if someone came to you saying they were going to sacrifice one of thier children to god because god spoke to them telling them to do so what would you conclude?
would you tell him to be faithfull to the voice and do it so they can become god's friend like abraham was?.

There are those of mankind going on a mission after having 'found the LORD'. They specifically receive instructions to slaughter for HIM in a wild killing spree.
jehovah's witnesses on ya: does prince wear make-up?.
if he does, what does jah say about that?
does the bible make it implicit or explicit in regards to men wearing make-up?

Is it Christian for governing body members to wear multiple rings? I swear, every
picture I see, they have either a ring on each hand or two rings on one hand. . .WTF?
Of course. One wedding band for they as members of the 'spiritual bride' are married to their 'heavenly bridegroom'.
The other ring as heathen symbol and token of dedication to their mortal wives.
did jesus condone such hearings?.
What? Jesus participating in judicial committee hearings? No.
Paul started that years later after his self-proclaimed enlightenment.
